Reading Spirit WEek

Monday: Scrabble Day. Have the students wear a scrabble letter of their choice. They can make a scrabble tile sign and wear it or I have also seen pix of kids who just duct-taped a letter on their shirt. Then in your classroom, have the kids make words/play a life-size game of Scrabble!

Tuesday: “er” day. Dress as something that ends in “er”…tiger, monster, teacher, lawyer, baker, swimmer, runner, helicopter (!)…….

Wednesday: Cat in the Hat Day: wear a Dr. Seuss-type hat or any funny hat…we’re celebrating hats!

Thursday: Rhyming Day: this is like “twin-day”. Pick a friend/friends and come to school as rhyming words!

Friday: Dress as your favorite Dr. Seuss character! It’s his birthday! Let’s celebrate!
